We periodically get in domestic birds that have been injured in some way. This is Mrs. Bucket so named because her quack sounds like she is saying “bucket”. She was found at a city park having been attacked by something, dirty, sore, emaciated, blind and with a fractured left leg. She is a young bird, so we think she was someone’s Easter present that had outlived its entertainment value and so was dumped at a city park pond.

Her wounds have healed, her feathers have grown back soft and bright, she can see well. The fracture had already partially healed by the time she came to us so she will always limp but in time that may even get better. When she’s ready we will find her a good home.
